 Singapore to Tioman
By Air

  • Berjaya Air (Tel: +65-64816302; www.berjaya-air.com) flies daily from Seletar airstrip using Dash 7 (48-seater) aircraft. Flights from Singapore to Tioman are on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 3.05 pm; on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1.15 pm and on Fridays at 12 noon. From Tioman to Singapore, flights are on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 2.00 pm; on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12.10 pm and on Fridays at 12.55 pm. 

  • Flight time is about 40 minutes. 

  • Price is SGD284 for return tickets for adults and SGD174 for return tickets per child. Half for one way.

By Sea
  • At the moment, there is no direct sea connection between Singapore or Johore Baru to Tioman till further notice.
By Road (to Mersing point)
  • Buses to Mersing (the ferry crossing point to Tioman) leave from the bus station at the corner of Lavender St and Kallang Baru. 
  • Transnational express buses cost about SGD16.50 to Mersing one way (actually the bus to Kuantan) and normally leaves at 9 am, 10 am and 10 pm. Please call +65-62947034 for more bus info. On the return leg, the same bus leaves Mersing at 12 pm and 1.30 pm and we advise you purchase these tickets from Singapore on the leg in. Buses also leave from the Plaza R & R daily. Johora Express has buses to Larkin Bus Station in Johor Baru at 12.30 pm and S & S Express at 11.30 am and 5 pm. Both these buses go to Larkin for less than RM10.
By Road (Alternative - to Mersing point)
  • Alternatively, go to Queen St bus station within walking distance from Bugis MRT Station. 
  • Buses leave every 15 minutes (SGD2.40 for the airconditioned express bus) and take you across the border to Larkin Bus Station in Johor Baru. 
  • From here, there are buses to Mersing via Kota Tinggi. The journey takes about 3 hours.
By Road (Driving - to Mersing point)
  • If you are driving from Singapore, make your way through Kota Tinggi and Jemaluang then on to Mersing. 
  • This journey will take 2 to 3 hours. 
  • Parking at the designated area outside the ferry terminal in Mersing will set you back RM8 a night.
By Road (Taxi - to Mersing point)
  • Taxis to Mersing are available at the Malaysian Checkpoint for RM150/taxi and vice versa.

 Kuala Lumpur to Tioman
By Air
  • Berjaya Air (Tel: 603-78468228; www.berjaya-air.com) flies from Subang Airport to Tioman and back also on Dash 7 (48-seater) aircraft. Flights from Subang to Tioman are daily at 8 am with extra flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 12.40 pm, on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10.50 am and on Fridays at 12.50 pm. On the return leg, flights from Tioman to Subang are at 9.20 am daily with extra flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 4.00 pm and on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 3.10 pm. 

  • Flight lasts about 55 minutes. 

  • Return tickets are priced at RM468 for adults and RM254 for children. Half for one way.

By Road (to Mersing point)
  • Transnational buses (Tel: 603-20703300 KL/ 607-7995698 Mersing) ply the Kuala Lumpur – Mersing route several times a day. Buses leave from the Puduraya Bus Station next to the Chinatown area in Kuala Lumpur and you need to physically get your tickets from the ticket counter there. Price is RM24 one way.

  • Buses are normally at 9 am, 12.30 pm, 6 pm and 11 pm and takes 6 hours to Mersing. The bus' LAST stop is the Plaza R & R which is right next to the Mersing Ferry Point. Please do not get off at the Shell Station although the bus driver may insist that that is the last stop.

By Road (Driving - to Mersing point)
  • If you are driving from Kuala Lumpur, a suggested route would be via Seremban and Kuala Pilah, passing Bandar Muadzam Shah onto Rompin and Endau and into Mersing. This drive takes about 5 hours. 

  • Alternatively, take the North-South Expressway, turn off at Ayer Hitam (Toll charges about RM30), head for Kluang then onto Mersing. This drive is shorter and takes 4 hours. 

  • Parking fee outside the ferry terminal in Mersing is RM8 a night.


 Mersing to Tioman
By Ferry
  • Many ferry operators operate boats and ferries between Mersing and Tioman several times a day.

  • Amongst the most reliable, Blue Water Speedboats (Tel: 607-7995696) operates its first speedboats from Mersing at 7.30 a.m. and its last ones at about 5.00 p.m. depending on tides. 

  • Tickets cost RM45 one way. From Tioman, the first boat leaves at 8.00 a.m and the last at about 4.30 p.m. daily. Drop off at Air Batang (ABC). We are right next to the jetty.


 Tanjung Gemuk to Tioman
By Ferry
  • Of late, high speed big ferries have started plying this route. Tanjung Gemuk is about a 30 minute drive from Mersing to the north. It is convenient for those driving down from the north from Kuantan or Trengganu. The journey to Tioman takes one and a half hours.
